Keeping streets clean

The way you make an online report to us has changed. You can either sign in to make your report or continue as a guest. If you continue as a guest you won’t be able to see updates about your report.

Dog mess

Dog owners are responsible for clearing up after their dogs and bagged dog waste should be placed in any dog or litter bin. The maximum penalty for dog fouling is £1,000.

Litter and street cleaning

We clean public roads and pavements, remove litter from public places and spray verges and pavements with weed killer. Private land is the responsibility of the landowner.

If there is grease or moss on pavements, we can wash the street or remove the moss to make it safe.

You can report litter, weeds or fallen leaves that may be hazardous to pedestrians or road users in a public place to us using our online form.

Dead animals

You can report a dead animal in a public place to us using our online form.

Syringes

Don’t touch or hide syringes if you find them. We aim to remove them within two hours of being made aware of them. If it’s on private land, tell the land owner.

Beach raking

We rake the beach in Weston-super-Mare every morning and clear it of litter during the summer.
