The Banwell bypass - as approved by the Planning & Regulatory Committee in March 2023 - includes features that will reduce the identified impacts of the scheme.
The mitigations look to
- protect the local environment, biodiversity and wildlife
- reducing noise and visual impacts in various locations.
- reinstate community land at Banwell Football Club
- protect local orchards.
- reduce the impact of any increased traffic and its speed in the nearby villages of Sandford, Winscombe and Churchill
