Adopted roads

We maintain adopted roads.

New roads that have been built to a reasonable standard, for example on a newly-built housing estate, will also be adopted.

We don’t maintain or clean private roads, and will not normally adopt them unless the owners bring them up to a reasonable standard.

We provide information about the extent and status of roads according to our records. We will charge a fee for the search.
