Garden waste

Due to a number of staff having to self-isolate, we have suspended garden waste collections for:

  • Wednesday 21 July
  • Thursday 22 July
  • Friday 23 July

We're really sorry for any inconvenience this might cause.

If we have your email address from when you signed up for the service, we’ll email you the night before or on the morning your garden waste collection is due if we’re not going to be able to collect. If this happens please don’t put your garden waste containers out. If you don’t hear from us, we’re planning to collect as usual.

We’re introducing a £50 per bin annual charge for garden waste collections from Thursday 1 April.

Council finances are under pressure and this has not been an easy decision.

The income generated from charging for garden waste will make the service self-financing and free up resources to protect essential services.
