North Somerset residents who are learning to drive can now practise for their driving theory test through their local library.

North Somerset Library Service has added Theory Test Pro to its growing list of internet services that its members can use for free. This service provides a realistic online simulation of the UK's driving theory test, allowing learner drivers to test their knowledge against the entire official test question bank, practise with hazard perception video clips, and read-up on an online version of the Highway Code.

To use Theory Test Pro for free, members can pop in to any North Somerset library. Alternatively, they can access the tool from outside of the library using their library card, by visiting the Theory Test Pro website: https://northsomerset.theorytestpro.co.uk.

Councillor Mike Solomon, North Somerset Council’s executive member for culture and leisure, said: “This is a superb free resource that our libraries are now offering to members. I’d urge people to take advantage of this excellent tool.”

Henry Dillon, Marketing Director of Well Informed Limited, the company which developed Theory Test Pro, said: “I’m very happy that members of North Somerset Libraries will now have free access to Theory Test Pro. Studying is a must for the Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency’s driving theory test, and Theory Test Pro offers everything that you’d get from a CD-ROM with none of the hassle.”

North Somerset residents can easily sign up for a library membership by visiting their local library, or joining online at www.librarieswest.org.uk. More information on libraries is available at www.n-somerset.gov.uk/libraries.
