Replace or return a blue badge

Blue badges that have been lost, stolen or damaged can be replaced. Badges that are no longer needed should be returned to us.

A replacement badge will be valid until the expiry date of the original badge. If your badge is due to expire in less than three months, you need to renew it instead.

There is a charge of £10 to cover the cost of replacing a lost, stolen or damaged badge.

Lost badge

If you have lost your blue badge you will need to request a replacement by email.

Stolen badge

If your blue badge has been stolen you need to report it to the police, who will give you a crime number. You will need this number when requesting a new badge.

You should email us to request a new badge.

Damaged badge

If your badge has been damaged you should email us to request a new one.

Returning a badge

If a blue badge is no longer needed, post it to us with a note to explain why it isn't needed.

An organisational badge must be returned to us by post if:

  • the organisation has ceased to exist
  • the organisation no longer cares for people who would qualify for a blue badge in their own right
