Following initial discussions between North Somerset Council and Hutton Parish Council, we would like to hear your views on the proposed introduction of a 20mph speed limit in the village of Hutton.

The proposals are intended to improve the safety and experience of moving around the village of Hutton for all members of the community including, school pupils, pedestrians and cyclists. The proposals have been developed in alignment with North Somerset Council’s 20mph policy and the Department for Transport’s guidance for setting speed limits.

Please have a look at the attached plans and let us know your thoughts by answering this online questionnaire.

The list of roads that are proposed as becoming 20mph are:

  • Vereland Road and all connected residential roads,
  • Moor Lane (up to Elizabeth Close), St Mary’s Road, St Mary’s Close, Payne Road, Palmer’s Way and Bisdee Road,
  • Main Road & Hutton Hill from Sutherland Drive to Vereland Road,
  • Church Lane, Orchard Road, Robin Drive and Gillson Close,
