Share your views on Adult Social Services

North Somerset Council provides a range care and support options to help older people, carers, and people with disabilities to live well. 

We want to work alongside people who draw on care and support to help us improve what is available. We want to hear from you about how we can best support you with the things that matter to you most.

If you have opinions about your experience of Adult Social Care, or ideas you would like to share about how we can improve, we would love to hear from you.

Everyone is invited to take part and we have a range of ways you can share your views.

We have created a Coproduction Panel as a way for you to get involved and share your views.

Coproduction means working in equal partnership with people with lived experience to achieve a shared goal. It is a way of working that recognises:

• everyone has a contribution to make
• all input has equal value
• everyone works together to come to a decision that works for everyone

On our Coproduction Panel, we will work with people who have been supported by Adult Social Services to create an equal and reciprocal partnership. This partnership will share power and responsibility for making positive changes to the way we deliver adult social care.

What this involves

The group aim will be to improve coproduction across Adult Social Services. We will work together to set agendas and decide the direction and plans for the group.

The group will aim to meet bi-monthly, with the option of joining online and in person. It will involve 

• keeping in touch via email and phone calls
• reading documents
• giving views on a range of subjects relating to adult social care.

There will also be opportunities to be involved with the development of policies and strategies.

How to register your interest

If you would like to be involved in our Coproduction Panel, please contact us via the button below to express your interest. We will then send you a questionnaire to get more details about how you want to be involved. 

Our spotlight groups focus on one subject for a short period of time (a maximum of 6 months). We may create these in order to make changes to something within Adult Social Services or to work on a policy.

We know that people meet all over North Somerset and have conversations. If there is something you are talking about that Adult Social Services could help with, we want to know.
