recycling
box or green
waste collection and download your collection calendar for
2008.
The way you recycle has changed. Your green box collection day
is now the same day as your refuse collection day. Green box
collections are still fortnightly, however they now alternate with
your green bag collection day
We have increased the number of
plastic recycling banks to eight sites across North
Somerset.
You can also recycle
cartons such as Tetra Pak and Pure Pak in North Somerset.
Every year we are recycling more and more of our waste in North
Somerset.
This year our recycling
rate is 36%, compared with 31% in 2006 and 20.5% in
2005.
By recycling more and throwing
away less you can help to protect our environment and reduce costs
as disposing of rubbish is an expensive business.
