Early Years and Childcare Provision across North Somerset
Early years and childcare provision across North Somerset
Help us to understand your needs
Section six of the Childcare Act 2006, places a duty on English local authorities to secure sufficient childcare for working parents.
Due to the Government's expansion to childcare from April 2024, we are looking to gather information from parents and carers who live in North Somerset and who also use childcare or out of school wrap around provision, or are planning to use childcare to enable us to find out about demand now and in the future.
This survey will help us to understand where to best allocate any available funding in the future. It will also help to ensure that any new or expanded childcare provision that may be created in areas of residential growth is needed and sustainable.
This consultation is being run by North Somerset Council's Early Years Team over the next six weeks.
