As well as general consultations you can see our Planning Policy consultations. These are consultations which form part of our Local Development Framework, formerly known as the Local Plan, covering large-scale planning issues.

    We would like your views on our new Mental Health and Wellbeing Strategy for 2024 to 2029.  The strategy includes an action plan setting out how the council will work with partners to address the increasing need for mental health support, and tackle health inequalities. It focuses on three key themes: Prevention, Early intervention and Supported and living well. Your feedback will be used to develop a final version of the strategy which is expected to be published this summer.

  • Avatar Rownham Hill - public transport design proposals Closed

    North Somerset Council has put forward proposals for suggested public transport design improvement at Rownham Hill junction on the A369. The main upgrade will be to install new bus lanes on the A369 at the approach to the junction that run in both directions. The new design will involve creating a new bus lane on the off side lane of the two-lane carriageway of the A369 towards Bristol and installing a bus lane running in the other direction towards the M5 from the bottom of Rownham Hill. The proposal will involve widening the carriageway and will keep the current car lanes.

  • Avatar Clevedon - public transport design proposals Closed

    North Somerset Council has put forward proposals for suggested public transport design improvements in the Clevedon area to make bus travel faster, more reliable and better for the environment. The proposals include improving three roundabouts in Clevedon – Tickenham roundabout, Ettlingen Way and Southern Way. The improvements will: • help the general movement of traffic. • reduce identified congestions on the roundabouts along the popular X5, X6, X7, X10, B2 and WESTlink bus routes, which link Clevedon and surrounding areas to and from Bristol. • provide an improvement for general traffic capacity by enlarging the roundabouts, which will benefit buses and road users.
