“The closure of Cineworld is part of a nationwide plan that’s affecting sites across the country. Our thoughts are with those affected and we hope that this is a temporary closure. The council is talking with the managing agent of Dolphin Square to understand the impact on those working at the cinema and how we can bring forward new uses for the units. We’ll continue to work with Homes England to accelerate the delivery of development on the vacant site opposite Dolphin Square.”
