Re:Act Performing and Production Arts Presents ‘Heroes of Our Time’ – Saturday 13 November
The 2 October 2071. Kings Cross. The tallest buildings of London have fallen. The corners of the UK have been submerged underwater and now stand as plastic wastelands. The surface of London is dominated by unbreathable air, glass, rubble and the whistling of wind. Underground, the people have turned against each other, each tube station marks violently held territory.
Today we tell a story that we all fear may one day be reality: our children’s dreams for their future are becoming nightmares. This original production has taken inspiration from classical literature such as The Tempest, Lord of the Flies 1984, using traverse and promenade staging to explore how climate change will shape the future of our world if we don’t act now.

Experience Marianas, University Centre Weston – Wednesday & Thursday 8 & 9 December
Third Year Musical Theatre students present the UK workshop premiere of Experience Marianas, a wild rock musical adventure about one woman’s journey to escape an oceanic cult. The musical is the latest show by Broadway writing team Rob Rokicki and Sarah Beth Pfeifer, who will be travelling from New York to develop the show alongside the students.
The music is inspired by retro-flavoured synths and New Wave rock. Supporting the production will be a live rock band, provided by students of the University Centre Weston music programme. Directing the production will be Grace Taylor (Associate Director on Six).

Winter Pride – Saturday 11 December
The first ever Winter Pride in Weston-super-Mare, time to celebrate all things LGBT+. An array of live acts and entertainment on stage throughout the day and a selection of stalls to get your rainbow Christmas goodies.
