Overnight works on Weston road
Night time maintenance works will be carried out on a busy road in Weston-super-Mare next week.
Works will start on the A370 Herluin Way, between Airport roundabout and the roundabout by Asda, on Monday (10 October) and are expected to last for five nights.
Crews will be working from 8pm until 6am, and lane closures will be in place to allow them to work safely.
The works will include the repainting of road markings, replacement of damaged railings and barriers, replacing gully and manhole covers, and clearing gullies.
Cllr Elfan Ap Rees, deputy leader and executive member with responsibility for highways, said: “We’ll be carrying out overnight works in order to minimise disruption on this busy stretch of road.
“There will be lane closures in place so that our crews can work safely and we ask that all road users take care when driving past these works, so as to ensure safety for all parties.”
Skanska is the principal contractor for the works, delivering them on behalf of North Somerset Council at a cost of approximately £46,000.
