What you need to do

Stay at home

  • Only go outside for food, health reasons or work (but only if you cannot work from home)
  • Stay two metres (6ft) away from other people
  • Wash your hands as soon as you get home

You can spread the virus even if you don’t have symptoms. There’s full guidance on staying at home and away from others, including the only reasons why you should leave your home, on the government website:

All North Somerset libraries, including the mobile library, are closed until further notice.

Extended access will not be available at Portishead Library, Winscombe Library, Worle Library and Children’s Centre and Yatton Library and Children’s Centre.

Some libraries share a building with children’s centres. If you are currently under midwifery care at one of the area’s children’s centres, keep attending at your usual location as these midwife appointments will continue.

All library loans will be extended automatically until Wednesday 1 July. Please do not return items during this time and please do not leave them on library doorsteps as they could be stolen or damaged.

Online services will still be available to use and we’re we’re working hard to develop additional digital resources.
