  • Wash your hands as soon as you get home

You can spread the virus even if you don’t have symptoms. There’s full guidance on staying at home and away from others, including the only reasons why you should leave your home, on the government website:

  • Clevedon Children’s Centre – 01934 426 440

Midwifery services are working as usual from Yatton (Rowan Tree hub) and Ashcombe (Maple Tree Hub) but not Locking Castle and Locking Children’s Centre site. Please contact your midwife using the telephone number on the front of your yellow book if needed.

Nurseries

The latest government advice says that every child who can be safely cared for at home should be, but they also recognise that some key workers and vulnerable children need schools and early years provision available to them.

If you’re a key worker as defined by the government  or your child/ren is in one of the vulnerable groups you should approach your child’s usual setting to find out what arrangements might be available. A child is classed as vulnerable if they have a EHCP or a social worker.

Our Early Years team are constantly monitoring which childcare providers are open and offering child care for the children of key workers. If you’re a key worker and want to discuss any urgent childcare requirements please contact Gail Alder on 07920 082 811.

There’s more information and guidance about the closure of educational settings on the government website.

Please do not rely on people who are considered vulnerable or extremely vulnerable to coronavirus for childcare.

And please do everything you can to make sure children aren’t mixing in a way which can spread coronavirus – they should observe the same social distancing advice as adults:
