Closed refers to businesses that are mandated to close by law.
Open refers to businesses in Tier 2 or 3 that have:

This scheme is for the national lockdown dating from 5 November to 1 December 2020.

However, if you are ineligible you may be able to claim a grant against other schemes, such as the Additional Restriction Grant (ARG) where the business has suffered a significant loss in turnover.

This scheme covers the national lockdown starting on 5 January 2021 (for an initial 6 week period until 15th February 2021).

The grants will be based on the rateable value of the property as it was on Thursday 5 November. They will be paid on a rolling basis for each two-week period of restriction.
The values apply only to eligible businesses and are as follows:

You can apply for the Local Restriction Support Grant (Open) online by clicking the button below. You will need your business rates reference number to apply, which you can find on your bill.
You’ll need to answer questions to verify that your business is eligible, provide some information and upload a recent bank statement.
