Hospitality Sector Scheme

North Somerset Council is extending its funding support scheme for the area's hospitality sector.

This includes places like that have been hard hit by coronavirus restrictions, such as:

  • pubs
  • restaurants
  • cafes

The government has recently announced a £1,000 Christmas Support payment to support 'wet-led' pubs. North Somerset Council are expanding this via our ‘Hospitality Sector Scheme’.

The scheme will provide additional financial support to over 300 publicly accessible pubs, restaurants and cafes across the area. This support will last through December, January, and February.

Payments and eligibility

Pubs and restaurants will be able to claim £3,000 in total, at £1,000 each month for December, January, and February.

Cafés will be able to claim between £1,500 - £3,000 depending on size. The payments will also be split between December, January, and February.

Eligibility is not linked to North Somerset's current Covid restriction level. It is only available for businesses that are liable for business rates.

The funding will be made available in addition to our other support schemes, such as the Local Restrictions Support Grant or the Additional Restrictions Grant.

How to apply

The council will contact businesses directly with instructions on how to apply.
