Memorials and plots

Memorials at the crematorium

There is a choice of memorials available, ranging from an entry in the book of remembrance to elaborate individually designed family garden plots.

Five days after the cremation you will be sent a brochure with details and pictures of memorials available. Staff at the crematorium can explain the options to you.

For more information, get in touch with Dignity Funerals, who manage our crematorium service.

Memorial trees

You can ask for a memorial tree to be planted in our parks and open spaces, with the exception of Clarence Park or Grove Park in Weston-super-Mare.

The cost of a tree, plus planting and after care is usually £120-£150. You can suggest the type of species we plant but we will make the final choice based on landscape design and known issues in that area.

Plaques can’t be installed on or near the trees.

For more information visit our memorial trees page or contact Council Connect.

Memorial benches

Memorial benches made with cast iron ends and seats of strong wood can be installed in our main parks and at certain points on the seafront in Weston-super-Mare.

We are not currently accepting applications for memorial benches.
