Annual household electoral registration
Annual household electoral registration takes place between August and November each year. You will receive your annual household electoral registration form at the end of August. Remember to check it and return it as soon as you can.
We need to know who lives at your address so we can check who is eligible to register to vote. You must tell us of any changes, or confirm that nothing has changed. If your name does not appear on the form, you are not currently registered to vote.
To respond between late August and November each year you can:
- visit the household response website and enter part one and part two of your security code (you will find the code on your form)
- call 08001 979 871 (only if the details on your form are correct) and enter part one and part two of your security code when prompted (you will find the code on your form)
- complete the form and return it to us by post in the freepost envelope provided
We will use the information you provide to identify those who are eligible to vote but are not yet registered and we will send them a separate voter registration form. We will send reminders to all non-responding households. It is a legal requirement to provide the information requested and you could face a £1,000 fine if you you don’t.
