The Weston Police Station and the former magistrates court building are set to become high quality apartments. The council purchased them in 2015 to help redevelop the town centre.
The government has designated Weston town centre a housing zone, which means it is a priority area for funding. The purchase of these sites has been made possible through a funding agreement with the Homes and Communities Agency.
Designs for the buildings have not yet been finalised. We anticipate work will begin once the police move out of the building into their new ‘blue light centre’ being constructed near junction 21.
