Waste and recycling

Going to landfill unless you reduce, reuse or recycle

In 2007 - 2008, over 112,500 tonnes of household waste was produced in North Somerset, with 70,437 tonnes going to landfill. A large amount of this could be recycled or reused if it was sorted before collection.

The zero waste challenge week runs from Monday 29 September to Sunday 5 October.

During this week we are challenging you not to throw anything away. Join in and be part of the award winning zero waste challenge to see how little you can throw away during the week.
