Trendlewood Park Management Plan 2016-2020

This consultation is now closed. For results contact the contact named in the following text. For the record, these are the consultation materials.

The Management Plan has also been vital to the park maintaining its Green Flag status for the last 5 years.   Green Flag, run by Keep Britain Tidy, is a prestigious award where the park is measured against a bench mark of excellence and looks for well maintained parks, offering diversity, wildlife benefits, with a strong community involvement. Please see the new five year Management Plan for Trendlewood Community Park.  This is the second management plan to be produced for this open space.  A huge amount of work was achieved as part of the previous Management Plan which has resulted in the park being greatly improved for the local community visitors and wildlife.  The Friends of Trendlewood Park, who consulted on both the previous and this new plan, have used the plan to guide their works and have been instrumental to the improvements seen across the park.

This second Management Plan focuses on sustaining the high standard and diversity developed over the previous 5 years, whilst looking at opportunities to grow on previous projects for both the community and wildlife.

A copy of the Management Plan is also available at the Parish Council offices

Context for this consultation The previous 5 year management plan has now ended and a new plan needs to be in place for the next 5 years. The plan is integral to the development of the park and its features, in particular as part of its Green Flag application each year.

The site has recieved this prestigious award for the last 5 years and we feel it is important to continue this recognition for the park and in acknowledgement of the work the volunteers in particular, and for the benefit of the community.
