This summer, household recycling and waste collection services will change for everyone in North Somerset. This section explains more about how the new bins and containers will be delivered in preparation for the new services beginning.
Because of the large number of households in North Somerset, we are introducing our improved recycling and waste services in two stages this summer.
Half the households in North Somerset received their new containers in June ready for their new and improved services to begin from mid-July.
The remaining half of the district will receive their containers between Monday 2 August and Friday 10 September ready for their new services to start from mid-September. Anyone in this second stage will continue with their current services until September.
You can find out which stage you're in and when your new services will begin using our recycling and waste collection day search.
Changes at blocks of flats of four or more households will be introduced separately later this autumn.
An information pack will accompany your new containers explaining exactly what can and can't be put in each container, what type of liners to use and tips for keeping your containers clean. It will also include a new collection day calendar which will tell you the date of your first new collection.
The maps listed on this page show which towns and villages will receive their new containers and services in stage one, and who will get theirs in stage two.
