The Town Hall in Weston will re-open to the public on Monday (7 September) with changes to the services provided.

The reception will be open on an appointment only basis. Customers who have enquiries should contact  01934 888 888 and ask for the relevant service. If you need an appointment, this will be arranged for you.

Customers will be asked to respect a two-metre distance, sanitise their hands on entry and wear a face covering (unless they are exempt from wearing one). The number of people allowed in at any one time will be restricted, so customers may have a short wait before they can enter. Customers will also be asked to give their details to support NHS Test and Trace.

Library customers will be able to borrow books using self-service facilities and use computers by prior booking. Customers will be encouraged to limit the time they spend in the library and staff will be unable to offer face-to-face enquiries or assistance with computers. Customers wishing to book library computers should call 01934 426 010 or email weston.library@n-somerset.gov.uk in advance.

Seating areas, events and newspapers will be unavailable. The reference library will also remain closed.

"The Town Hall is an important community hub and I am delighted to see it re-open, albeit with restricted services," said North Somerset Council Leader Cllr Don Davies.

"Things will be run differently in this Covid-19 pandemic and the focus will be on social distancing and keeping our community safe. We would urge people to be patient when using the new arrangements."
