Summer holiday fun at The Campus

There will be lots on offer at The Campus this summer to keep children of all ages entertained during the school holidays.

Whether you’re looking for something sporty or creative the community venue in Locking Castle will have something for everyone to enjoy.

The regular football fun days will be running each week day, from 9am to 3pm, starting on Monday 24 July and finishing on Wednesday 30 August (apart from bank holiday Monday 28 August). The fun days are for children aged five to 12 years old and cost £14 per child per session.

There’ll be a beginners judo session on Monday 14 August between 9.30am and 11am, giving children aged five years and upwards the chance to try the exciting sport for the first time.

Creative Kidz Theatre Company will be running workshops for children aged six to 13 years old. Drama and musical theatre sessions take place on Mondays 31 July and 7 August, while acting, costume and face painting sessions will be on Tuesdays 1 and 8 August. Each workshop will be from 10am to 3pm at a cost of £13 per child per day.

Castle Kids Club – rated by Ofsted as ‘Good’ – will also be running each weekday from Wednesday 24 July to Friday 1 September (apart from bank holiday Monday 28 August). The club offers a full day session from 8am to 6pm for £24, or a half-day session from 8am to 1pm or 1pm to 6pm for £13.50. The club is able to accept a range of childcare vouchers as payment.

And, along with all other North Somerset Council libraries, the library at The Campus will be offering children aged four to 11 the chance to take part in this year’s summer reading challenge “Animal Agents”.
