Consultation starts for exciting new housing development
Homes England, in conjunction with North Somerset Council, is inviting the public to consult on an exciting new housing scheme for the Sunnyside Road and Locking Road car parks. The new development will dramatically improve the entrance to the town centre, offering approximately 400 high quality, contemporary homes including apartments and houses.
Alongside other major town centre projects, which have included the redevelopment of Dolphin Square, creative hub The Stable and the Italian Gardens, the transformation of Sunnyside Road and Locking Road will add further momentum to the regeneration of the town as a vibrant place to live, with a thriving and diverse leisure offer.
The developments are part of the Weston Town Centre Regeneration Programme that is delivering improvements to key development sites and positively encouraging investment within the town.
The vision for the town centre is focused around the themes of living, learning and lifestyle, with plans to attract more people to live in the in the town centre creating a lively university town which will further improve the local economy.
