Making decisions about care
Working out your care options
If you’re not sure what care would be best for you, we can help you by assessing your needs and circumstances.
We can talk you through the different options available to you such as:
- help to live at home
- respite care
- day centres
- community services
- moving into a care home
We can assess your needs regardless of how much money you have. We may also need to assess you financially to see if you need to pay towards your care.
You will be responsible for paying for your own care if you:
- do not meet the criteria
- have savings or investments of more than £23,250 (£46,500 if joint)
- do not want to tell us about your finances
We’ve got an online questionnaire which you can complete to find out what care you might need. By answering a small number of simple questions, we can point you in the direction of the services that could help you.use our online questionnaire to find care services
If you are partly or fully responsible for funding your own care, you can speak to one of our care experts who can help you to make decisions about care.
