2018-19 admission arrangements and policies
School admission arrangements are policies that set out how school places are allocated.
We have our own admissions arrangements for community (run by us) and voluntary controlled (faith/volunteer led but run by us) schools. This also applies to schools who were community and voluntary controlled at the time the admissions arrangements were published and have since become academies.

We publish a document every year which shows how many places are available at each community and voluntary controlled school for their September intake.
We also set out the admission arrangements for community and voluntary controlled schools for parents and carers who want their child to change schools during the school year. This also applies to schools who were community and voluntary controlled at the time the admissions arrangements were published and have since become academies.
We set the policy and timetable for the September intake admissions process. This is known as the coordinated admissions scheme.
Schools with their own admission arrangements in 2018-19
Own admissions authority schools, such as academies and voluntary aided schools, are responsible for their own admission arrangements.
