Music and CDs

We have CD collections at Weston, The Campus, For All Healthy Living Centre and Nailsea libraries in a range of popular genres.

Due to a decreasing number of music CDs being borrowed, no new music CDs have been purchased for North Somerset libraries since August 2017. Music CDs will continue to be available at these selected libraries until the level of demand means that it is no longer cost effective to provide this service. Advance notice will be given of the complete withdrawal of this service.

Music CDs can be reserved free of charge if available on the LibrariesWest website  for collection at your local library.

There is a small hire charge for a week’s loan. Check the case is unlocked before you leave. If you need to keep it longer, you can pay the additional week’s rental charge when you return the CD.

You can also borrow music scores from Weston Library.

Music societies can hire sets of vocal scores and orchestral parts for a booking fee – just register your group at your local library. We recommend you book music sets well in advance and return them promptly so other people can use them.

If you keep music sets longer than the lending period there will be an additional charge.
