Ways to pay Council Tax

Direct debit

Direct debit is the easiest, quickest and cheapest way to pay. We take your instalments direct from your bank or building society account. We will let you know if the amount of your instalment changes.

Once set up, your bank or building society will automatically transfer payments in instalments on the first of each month.

Pay online using a debit or credit card. We accept Delta, Maestro, MasterCard, Solo, Switch and Visa.

Over the telephone

Call 01934 888 121 to make a payment. You will need your Council Tax account number and a credit or debit card.

At a payment kiosk

We have payment kiosks at our Castlewood office in Clevedon, the Town Hall in Weston-super-Mare, Portishead Library, Worle Library and the For All Healthy Living Centre in Weston-super-Mare.

By cheque or postal order

Send a cheque or postal order made payable to North Somerset Council to: Council Tax Payments, North Somerset Council, Town Hall, Walliscote Grove Road, Weston-super-Mare, BS23 1UQ.

Write your Council Tax account number, name and address on the reverse of the cheque or postal order.

At your bank or building society

Pay through your bank or building society quoting sort code: 20 94 74 and account number: 7301 5939. You will need your Council Tax account number.

At the Post Office

Use the barcode on your Council Tax bill to pay at the counter.
