COVID-19 vaccinations

The coronavirus vaccine is safe and effective. It gives you the best protection against coronavirus (COVID-19).

The NHS is currently offering the vaccine to people who are most at risk from COVID-19:

  • people aged 70 years old and over
  • people who are clinically extremely vulnerable
  • people who live or work in care homes
  • health and social care workers
  • personal assistants and paid carers

The vaccine will be offered more widely as soon as possible.

The NHS will contact you when it’s your turn to have the vaccine. Please do not contact the NHS before then.

The vaccine is being offered in some hospitals and pharmacies, local vaccination centres run by GPs and larger, or mass, vaccination centres.

Our nearest mass vaccination centre is at Ashton Gate Stadium in Bristol. This is an additional option for you to get vaccinated if it is convenient for you. If you would prefer to be vaccinated at one of the local vaccination centres, you should wait to hear from your GP surgery in the coming weeks.

There is more information about the vaccine on the NHS website.
