North Somerset local elections 2019

Local elections will be held in North Somerset on Thursday 2 May 2019.

To vote you must be:

  • on the electoral register
  • aged 18 years or over
  • a British, Commonwealth, Irish or European citizen registered to vote as a UK resident

The deadline to add your name to the electoral register is midnight on Friday 12 April.

Poll cards will be issued to all registered electors towards the end of March.

Key dates and times

Friday 12 April – midnight

Deadline for registering to vote.

Monday 15 April – 5pm

Deadline to apply for a new postal vote or postal proxy vote.

Wednesday 24 April – 5pm

Deadline for new proxy vote applications.

Thursday 2 May – 7am to 10pm

Polling day – our polling stations will be open from 7am until 10pm.

Friday 3 May – 9.30am

Counting will start.
