Minute EXE 165 – Draft Revenue and Capital Budgets for 2007/08

Motion: Moved by Councillor Hockridge and seconded by Councillor Bell –

“That the draft Budget, as approved for consultation by the Executive, be considered together with the Amendment to the Executive Budget – Conservative Group Proposal submitted by the Conservative Group contained in Appendix 3 and the comments and proposed amendments by Councillor Tom Leimdorfer in Appendix 4 and the comments and views of the Policy/Overview and Scrutiny Panels, at the meeting of the Executive to be held on 13th February 2007.”

Councillor Bell made a statement in support of the draft Budget.

Councillor Ashton made a statement in support of the Conservative Group Budget Proposals.

Councillor Leimdorfer made a statement in support of his comments and proposed amendments.

Councillor Hockridge thanked the Conservative Group and Councillor Leimdorfer for their submissions.

Amendment: Moved by Councillor Shopland and seconded by Councillor Jolley –

“That for 2007/08, the Vice-Chairman’s allowance be set at a sum between £500 and £1,000.”

The Amendment was carried.

It was thereupon

Resolved: that the Substantive Motion, recorded above as Motion and Amendment, be approved and adopted.
