Locking Castle – Campus Project (Agenda Item 7(1))

 

The Acting Section 151 Officer submitted a report.

 

At the invitation of the Chairman, non-Executive Councillors raised questions. Councillor Roe responded.

 

Councillor Roe expressed concern at the apparent lack of financial control in respect of this scheme and indicated that, in his view, a further report on the overspending should be submitted.

 

RESOLVED:

 

(1)          that the report be noted;

 

(2)     that the report be referred to the Finance and Resources Policy and Scrutiny Panel and the Children and Young People Policy and Scrutiny Panel in order to monitor the effective implementation of the recommendations made with the Internal Audit Report; and

 

(3)     that a further report indicating the timetable and details of action taken concerning individuals or collectively to reduce the risk of such overspending  occurring on a future scheme, be submitted to the Executive.[J1]
