Children and Young People Select Committee
This now defunct Select Committee comprised councillors and additional members appointed by three religious groups and parent/governor representatives from both primary and secondary schools. Other categories of group representation had the right to speak at the meeting but could not vote on items. The Select Committee considered issues which would affect Education and other matters which specifically related to children and young people and were not covered by one of the other select committees. The Children and Young People Policy and Scrutiny Panel has now superseded this Committee with effect from 17th July 2003.
