Ashcombe Children's Centre

Her Majesty The Queen and His Royal Highness The Duke of Edinburgh toured North Somerset on a Royal visit in July 2007.

Well-wishers turned out in their thousands to greet the Royal Party in what was a memorable day for everyone.

Her Majesty visited the Ashcombe Children's Centre in Weston-super-Mare as part of her tour at 2.50pm on Friday 20 July.

This innovative centre is one of several created across the district designed to give children and their families greater access to education, childcare, family support and health services.

On the day, Her Majesty met many people involved in the centre including children, their families and staff.
