What does the statement of accounts show?
The statement of accounts describe our financial affairs for each financial year.
Do you publish accounts in a set format?
Yes, the format of our accounts follows best practice as defined in the Code of Practice on Local Authority Accounting 2010/11 incorporating the requirements of international financial reporting standards.
Are there statutory dates for completion?
Yes. We successfully met the statutory deadlines of 30 June for the completion of accounts and 30 September for the completion of audit.
What happens once you've completed the audit process?
Following the annual completion of our statement of accounts, external auditors issue an annual audit letter (pdf, Oct 11, 585KB) with their findings. The latest letter relates to our accounts for the 2010-11 financial year. We also publish notice of conclusion of audit (pdf, Sep 11, 12KB) as required by the audit process.
