We will spend £302m on providing services to the
local community during this financial year.
We use a three-year financial forecast to ensure we spend the
budget in the most efficient and cost-effective way as some £80m is
raised from local residents through council tax.
The forecast programmes how the budget can be best used to
achieve both local priorities and central government targets.
The council's budget book details spend by service for the
forthcoming year and our accounts are subject to an annual external
examination by the public called the
Statement of Accounts inspection.
