We want to hear your views on the future executive
arrangements that are possible for the authority.
The Local Government and Public Involvement in Health Act 2007
requires the council to adopt one of two models of executive
arrangements in the future. The two models available are a Mayor
and Cabinet (Executive) or a Leader and Cabinet (Executive). The
council is already operating a Leader and Cabinet (Executive)
model.
The council re confirmed its decision for a Leader and Executive
model earlier this year and believes it is the model best suited to
North Somerset but wants to hear views of residents of North
Somerset on the preferred model of governance.
