Town and parish liaison

Our liaison officers aim to establish an effective communication and partnership between ourselves and town and parish councils across North Somerset.

Each town and parish council is allocated a senior officer who provides a first point of contact for problems and who represents us at their meetings.

They have regular contact with town and parish chairmen and clerks to help foster co-operation between our two organisations.

This role does not replace existing lines of communication for the day-to-day operation of services but serves to complement these relationships and the role of ward members.
