If you are a North Somerset resident you must register
your details with us in order to vote.
We are required by law to collect and publish electoral
information each year in the form of the
electoral
register.
Each year we send out registration form to every property across
the district with further information about this process available
on our
Annnual registration of voters page.
Failure to complete the form means you are breaking the law and
to be eligible to register to vote you must be the following:
Aged 18 or become 18 within the next register year
A British, Commonwealth or European Union citizen
Resident in North Somerset
You can apply to register to vote at any time and if you're not
yet registered, you've moved or your details change during the year
you can apply for additions or corrections to be made to the
electoral
register.
You can download an application from
aboutmyvote.co.uk and you should sign it in ink and return it
by post to our Electoral Services Office.
