We organise all categories of elections which take
place within North Somerset.
This included the parish and town council elections in May 2007
where polls were held to elect up to 442 seats on the 39 local
parish and town councils.
We also help organise parish and town council by-elections which
occur following the resignation, death or disqualification of a
sitting councillor.
The next full elections of parish and town councils take place
in May 2011.
Where a vacancy occurs within six months prior to this date a
by-election shall not be held and the vacancy may be filled by
co-option by the relevant town or parish council.
