We will soon be responsible for issuing a range of
gambling licences and permits in North Somerset under new
legislation.
This legislation covering gaming activities is changing in 2007
and we will be taking on additional responsibilities under the
Gambling
Act 2005.
However, we currently issue a range of other licences and
permits which include the following:
- Gaming machine permits for arcades and other premises
- Gaming machine permits in public houses
- Small Society Lotteries
- Prize gaming
The following organisations also issue the following licences
and permits under the current legislation:
- The Gambling
Commission - Issues licences for casinos, betting and bingo
premises
- Weston Magistrates' Court - Issues licences for gaming machines
in private members clubs and can be contacted on 01934 528
