We issue licences to allow businesses to store
petrol on their premises within North Somerset.
Petrol must be kept in accordance with conditions
outlined under the Petroleum (Consolidation) Act 1928.

Avon Fire and Rescue
Service is responsible for giving out other petrol related
licences and can be contacted on 0117 926 2061.
They ensure the substance is kept and dispensed in a safe manner
and is unlikely to cause a risk to the public or environment.
They inspect filling stations to ensure the rules are
observed.
