We register businesses which sell and store fireworks in
North Somerset.
The registration period runs from August to August
with a list of current fees and applications forms available
on
the North
Somerset Trading Standards website.
Fireworks can only be sold between 15 October and 10 November, 26
and 31 December and for three days before and on the Chinese New
Year and Diwali.
If you wish to sell fireworks at other times of the year
you need a firework sales licence.

There are strict rules on how to store fireworks and we inspect
every premises to make sure they do so correctly and safely.
Fireworks should be kept in a clean, waterproof container or
cupboard separate from other substances.
Care must be taken to keep ignition sources, such as matches,
smoking materials or grit rush, away from them.
