Licence Summary
To offer skin-piercing treatments - including tattooing,
acupuncture, ear and body piercing - both the person performing the
treatment and the premises must be registered with us.
There is a registration
fee payable for
permissions granted.
Eligibility Criteria
The application must include a description of the premises and
particulars for cleaning and sterilisation.
Details of any convictions or suspended registration by persons
making the application or working in the business that relate to
the practice of skin piercing.
Regulation Summary
The main legislation covering this permission is the
Local Government (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 1982.
Application Evaluation Process
There are no formal consultation procedures in relation to
applications made. Applications will be assessed on the information
provided.

No. It is in the public interest that we must process your
application before it can be granted. If you have not heard from us
within 28 days, please contact us.
