We issue annual licences to pet shop
businesses.
The licences expire on 31 December each year and
ensure their animals are kept in appropriate accommodation and
given enough suitable food.
Businesses must also have precautions in place to prevent the
spread of infectious disease and clear emergency and fire
safety measures.
To apply download and fill in our
pet shop licence form.
For details of costs visit our
fees and charges page.
After we have received your application one of our officers
will inspect the premises before any licence is issued.
Mammals cannot be sold until a suitable age and no animal should be
sold to children under the age of 16.
