We issue annual licences to businesses which breed dogs
for sale in North Somerset.
We inspect the premises before we issue the licence
and ensure the animals' care is up to standard.
This includes ensuring their accommodation is large enough, is
kept at the right temperature with adequate lighting, ventilation
and cleanliness levels.
We check they receive the correct amount of exercise, are fed
and watered properly and precautions are in place to prevent the
spread of disease.
Fire and other emergency procedures must be in place and accurate
records must be kept of the animals.
