We issue licences for school-age children who
perform or take part in paid activities.
We do this to help protect them from exploitation
and safeguard their welfare.
If your child is involved with a dancing school, local show, paid
modelling or sporting activity you should apply for a
licence.
The licences are required from birth until a child reaches official
school-leaving age.
To apply download and fill in our
Child performance licence application form.
However, if your child is involved in the Scouts annual Gang
Show or a school events you will not need a licence.
Your application should be sent in at least three weeks before the
date required so you receive it in time.
